Default Jenn-Air Trash Colmactor#TC-400
All of a sudden my trash compactor door will not stay closed. It keeps popping out and it will not compact with the door open is there a spring or latch that is broken .

Check the latch assembly on the right hand side of the drawer.

Here is a link to your compactor model TC400.

The latch assemble is number 12 on the body breakdown.
