Default Flywheel loose

I opened a kenmore diposer that had the flywheel stock and I noticed that the flywheel is held by a suport on one side of the circle only, that makes the flywheel rotate erraticly and makes a cranky sound when it hits the walls of the chamber of the disposer. is it possible to correct this problem? is it worthy to do so? is seems to be complicated to remove the flywheel.
