Question Wont Start
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER5848EQ5
Age: 5 - 10 years

please help dont know whats wrong, have electric dryer with power light on inside drum, push start button have nothing, please help.

Check the motor fuze, on the blower housing in the back. small white plastic fuze with 2 blue wires atached

Question wont start

thanks bettyboop for advise, changed thermal fuse, and heating element. still wont start, could it be the start/relay button - I would like to fix this myself now , do you have any other ideas . thanks again.

Why did you replace the heating element? It has nothing to do with starting.
You open the control panel rear cover, (make sure the dryer is unplugged) un hook start button wires, tape them together tight, then pulg in dryer to see if it has bad start switch.

Al so could be a bad door switch, also test by taping the 2 wires together

thank you bettyboop it works' unpluged the blue wires from the fuse turned them around and it worked, I changed the heating element because it didnt dry the clothes very well thats why I changed it. thanks again big hug to you. ill always be grateful to you.
