I have a similar problem...Kenmore dryer. Dryer gets hot and operates normally, except won't stop by itself, except on some cycles. Changed thermostat, over temp thermostat, over limit, and cycling thermostat and no change in symptom.

Ideas??

Can you please supply your model number?

If it is not shutting off it is likely your timer.
