I am having a similar problem. The ignitor comes on, the flames light off and stay lit for about 3-4 seconds and then go off. I just put in new gas valve coils thinking that was the problem. Any idea if it could be the main 5 wire thermostat?

You may have a regulator problem.

This should be check by a qualified gas technician.
