Hi,

Check your dryer vent for lint build up.

Run it without connecting to the vent.
If it runs OK then it is your vent
If not you have a dryer problem

If you do not want lint in the house, get a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg inside the other and attach this to the dryer's exhaust.
Leave enough room behind the dryer so it can blow out like a windsock

If it does turn out to be the vent system, which is likely, remember to also check your outside vent, to make sure it is opening correctly.
