Angry Whirlpool Dryer wont dry or turn off.
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER4634EQO
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer wont blow hot air and the timer wont move. No matter what setting its on, timed, air fluff, etc...it just sits there and the dryer runs and runs. Would it do that if it was the heating element? I need help!!!!

On the timed setting the timer should advance even if the dryer is not heating.

On the air fluff there is no heat and the timer should advance.

On the auto dry cycle the timer will not advance if the thermostat is not cycling.

You may have two problems.

Check the continuity of the heating element to see if it is good.

Check to make sure that you have 240 volts at the dryer.

Check the operating thermostat in the blower housing.

Here is a link to your dryer model LER4634EQ0.
