Exclamation Timer switch
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: dbxr463ed1ww
Age: 1 - 4 years

I had to replace the timer switch on my dryer, I had to take the part off and when I did I didn't look at which wires went where. I got the new part thinking it would have install directions but i was wrong. I tried to follow the wiring diagram that was in the back of the dryer, but im not for sure if I have it hooked up right. The dryer wont even start like before, Does anyone know the proper wiring for the switch. dont know if I have it correct.

Why did you replace the timer in the first place?
Is there a possibility that the timer was good and you have the same problem with the new one?

It is very difficult to find wiring diagrams for GE, here is one I found
Is it the same as yours?

Connections seem fairly straight forward.

Have you used all the wires?
Do you have any empty connectors on the timer?

Sometimes the wires going to the timer are pretty short, there is a chance you pulled a connector off inside the unit.

Might be a good idea to list all the wire colors you have and all the timer contact designations and how you have them connected. Also list what works if anything re: interior light, timer motor etc.

I am off to the lake so hopefully someone else will jump in and give you a hand.
