Default TImer not working but Dryer does
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: YE225LV
Age: More than 10 years

Although the dryer works, heats up and dries the clothes well. The timer has stop "ticking" and when set to a specific time (for example 30 minutes) the timer knob does not move, it no longer buzzes and essentially will run continually unless either the door is opened, the timer knob is manually moved to the off position or the power goes off. I think the unit needs a new timer switch. I am off base?

Thanks, Neill

Yes definitely sounds like your timer is gone

Here is a link to your machine
Maytag YE225LV Parts List

Says it is a Maytag but Maytag makes major appliances for Magic Chef
