Default Timer advancing too fast
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LDG8404AAE
Age: More than 10 years

Dryer is about 15 years old gas mode.. The timer advancing to OFF position too fast and leaving the clothes wet. I am suspecting the timer, any advise will be apprecate, thank you!

How fast are you talking?

What cycle are you using?

Is the air flow restricted not allowing the moist air out?

You could very well have a cycling thermostat issue. It is located on the blower housing. Before you replace the timer, I would replace the thermostat. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
