Default Thermal Fuse Keeps Blowing???
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KGYS850JQ1
Age: More than 10 years

My dryer didnt heat so i checked some parts and found the thermal fuse was blown. I replaced it and wala everything worked. But after 2 or three loads of wash, No Heat... What could be doint this? There is no blockage in the vents and the tray is clear. Any help?

Alright, the thermal fuse isnt blowing but it will only heat for a short period of time then stop heating. Any ideas?? Is it the HI-LO limiter??

Your high limit seems to be working correctly
It should shut off before the non resettable thermal fuse blows
Once the dryer cools down some it resets and you have heat again
It is a safety device
The parts breakdown for your dryer shows a cycling thermostat
This is probably the culprit
At least this is what I would check next
