Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PYE4500AYW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Can I jump across the thermal fuse to see if it is the problem?

You can jump the fuse but be sure that you replace it if it is faulty.

The fuse is a safety devise that should not be removed.

If the fuse is open make sure you check the vent to make sure it is clear.
