Question Thermal Fuse
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.64962300
Age: 1 - 4 years

I want to replace the thermal fuse. Where is it and how do I get to it? Please help.

Found it! I removed the front panel and it is behind the blower at the exhaust pipe. It's not easy to reach but one 1/4" screw and it is out.

Still no heat though. On to the thermostat.

Do you not have a volt/ohm meter? Or are you just going to replace everything till you get it. A cheap meter is about $15.00. Get one, and you will always have it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Usually on an electric dryer, the thermal fuse opens the Neutral so the symptom is it will not start at all (you loose the 120 volt feed).

Have you checked the heater, should be 11 ohms approximately.
Always remove at least one connection to the device you are measuring to ensure you are not reading an alternate circuit path.
