Default Test Circuits for turning - no heat
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LEC6848AQ2
Age: 5 - 10 years

Dryer will spin and no heat. Tested the element, thermal fuse, and the thermal cut off. All have continuity. The cycling thermostat has an internal bias heater I don't know how to test on or off the machine. Should the internal bias heater (L155-25) terminals show ohm's or should it be open when on the bench? The outer terminals for the thermostat with internal bias heater shows closed.
Also, I did not check the wall outlet for 240 yet. I will later today.
Thank you.

You should have continuity if the thermostat is at room temperature.

The heater should also show continuity.

Here is a link to your dryer model LEC6848AQ2.

Double checked the thermostat with internal bias heater and the heater terminals are open. I'm going to try this part first. The 220 plug was tested and okay'd by an electrition. I'll post after the part is installed. Thanks again,

I'll Repete. Test For Continuty Large Heat Element, Hi-limit Thermostat, Attached To Large Silver Heat Element, Operating Thermostat, And Both Thermal Fuses. The Bias Heater On The Operating Thermostat Only Raises The Temp, To Make The Operating Thermostat Open At A Lower Temp For Permanet Press Cycle Does Not Stop The Heating Element. Bettyboop
