Default Stackable whirlpool dryer
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LTG5243BN0
Age: More than 10 years

I have a stackable whirlpool washer dryer combo, like the one in this link. I can figure out how to access the belt and pulley system. I removed all the screws I could but I was not able to take off the sides because there was one screw on each side behind where the knobs are (under the dryer) and I couldnt get enough clearance to get my wrench in. There has got to be a simpler way to access the belt and pulley without taking apart the whole thing.

I am new to this so I apoligize for asking such elementary questions.

The front panel is the easiest to get off. Take the two screws off the bottom and swing it out and the top will come out.

I work on this model every week, pull off the knobs, remove the tiny phillips screw in the bottom center of control panel.Pop off the worded part, push down on the black tin relese catches on right & left. Now there 2 small hex screws on right & left sides that hold door panel on ,remove them, unplug door switch harness, then just lift up front panel and put in a safe place, replace belt and then put it back together
