Default Squeaking Dryer ~ Please help!!
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: dde7200sblw
Age: More than 10 years

My dryer just started to squeak loudly when in use. Is this something I can fix myself or do I have call a technician or should I just buy a new dryer (age 12 years)? The dryer still dries clothes but the squeaking noise is driving everyone in the house crazy!

It Could be drum slide bearings or the front that your drum rides on if they are worn down you will hear metal to metal sound or the front support bearing http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/GE/00001510i02.gif nunbers 501 and 454 in this schematic
