Default Speed queen commercial drive chain tension

Age: More than 10 years

This is a 50 lb commercial speed queen,same as huebsch,my question is the chain drive in the rear is sloppy,I ordered a new chain and it still is sloppy,idler gear is fine,new sprockets,Are these chains supposed to be loose or do you have to take links out,tried adjusting tentioner but its all the way adjusted,we have 3 machines and one is belt drive,the other has a loose chain also but works fine,this one has a loose chain and wants to jump links.any ideas,thanks
