Default Sounds like bass "thumping" at end of cycle
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: NBXR453GV2WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Please help...when my overworked dryer becomes hot, like at the end of the load's cycle and every load thereafter, it starts to make this sushing/thumping noise that sounds like a tennager's stereo thumping out in the driveway. Thump, thump, thump, etc... I keep getting up and goint to the door to yell at someone to turn down the bass and no one's there! Seriously, it only starts doing this when it's warm like it's sticking and no longer gliding. Two years ago I had to replace the glides - they are still ok. My washer is also "on the fritz" (see other post kenmore clunks on spin cycle). PLEASE help!

Check the idler pulley it may be sticking on the shaft making belt jump.

Here is a link to your dryer model NBXR453GV2WW.
