I guess I'm confused. In my mind, the only thing "electrical" that is happening when I turn the dial to get heat, is some signal telling the gas valve to open, so the gas can run free and ignite. Is this a correct assumption? As far as the motor drawing excessive current (PS Volunteer - Appguy)...is that something that has to do with heat, or is that just the motor that spins the basin around, because it will still spin, fluff and tumble all day long...just trips the breaker (no matter which of 3 different outlets I've tried) after either the first second I hear the gas try to come on, or in some cases after a few minutes.

Is this set of coils on the valve down there by the gas line that is coming into the back of my dryer? Is it time to call someone to come take a look? That's not really my style, but then again neither is fixing a gas dryer I guess.

Thanks again for all the help and ideas! I'm learning a lot anyway.
