Roper dryer will tumble, but won't heat. The element and high limit thermostat all have continuity when cold (disconnected), however, the thermal cutoff does not. Do not have cycling thermostat with me to check (left it on dryer at another residence). Does this strongly indicate the thermal cutoff is the culprit? Can the element and thermostat be checked for continuity with a voltmeter to indicate whether they are functional (i.e is a continuity check a valid test for functionality)?

Any advise greatly appreciated-
