Default Roper Dryer will not tumble without help
Brand: Roper
Model Number: rex6634rq0
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,

I have a Roper Dryer that will not tumble with a full load in it. When I first start it, it will hum, if I take out most of the items and then turn the drum by hand it may start going on its own, but it has to be only like 2-3 items in it. It will turn on its own if there is nothing else in it. Could it be the just the belt or could the motor just not be strong enough to turn it? Thank you in advance for any help possible.

Here is a link to the parts breakdown
Whirlpool REX6634RQ0 Parts List

In your case Roper is made by Whirlpool

Please see "Dryer wont turn" by "stevescanion"

You have rear support rollers instead of a center bearing. This is a better system.

It will not be the belt
It could be the motor
Also your motor is considerably less than stevescanion so the repair/replace question is harder to make.
