Here is a link to help find the Model Number

Sorry but I do not understand the problem.

Is the rolling sound in the machine?
Is it behind the power outlet on the wall?
Is the machine running?
Is this something that just started recently?
Is this a unit you bought used and just started using it?

If you can please provide a better description.

You have one of the weirdest problems I have ever heard of.

Since the dryer is not on, it is not pulling any power so should not have any effect on the receptacle but it does.

I would pull the cover plate off the receptacle and take a look
Many of the receptacles are attached to the faceplate so kill power at the breaker when you do this.

Pull the plate forward so you can see inside, you may see something that does not look right.

Check to make sure none of the wires cannot touch anything, then plug the dryer in and and switch the breaker back on. Perhaps you will see/hear something to help troubleshoot this.

Just be very careful, 240 VOLTS IS VERY DANGEROUS!!!

The only other suggestion I have is to perhaps post this problem on a forum dedicated to electrical problems.
I would be very interested to know the cause, there is nothing like a good mystery!
