Default Removing Front of Dryer to Install New Parts
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mde9606ayw
Age: 5 - 10 years

Just ordered new belt, front glide kit, rollers & shafts, idler arm & shaft assembly, Idler pulley & bearing. Dryer is getting noisy so decided to replace all these. Not sure how to remove front of cabinet for access to change out parts ordered. Can all these be changed out from the front? Any pointers you can give to make this job go easier will be greatly appeciated. This is a series 10 machine.

Hi,

You could take a look at the service manual.

Can't find service manual for my model number. Viewed manual at appliancejunk.com for maytag 94 to 97. Front is different, mine has no screws 4 to 6 inches up from bottom. Some repair info in the manual does apply and will be helpful.

Default Parts Breakdown

Try Appliance Parts Warehouse
It will at least give you some idea of where the screws are that hold the front panel on
