Default Remove dryer lid
Brand: Maytag

Blade in drum is loose. I am trying to raise lid (dryer top) to gain access to outside of drum so I can tighten fasteners. How do I get the lid (top) to release so I can raise it up?

I believe you need to release the front first by removing two screws on the lower front. Then lift the bottom of the front panel out and up. The top should then release. Then you should be able to get to the top lid screws, typically two of them. The you can slide the top back and tip up.

Too much work!! You can open the back small panel to get to the drum blade screws.
Just turn drum till you see it.

Cannot locate screws in lower front and only small panel in back is located in upper right section accessing electrical connections. Additional suggestions?
Thank you.

You have A maytag Neptune dryer. Take the door hinge screws out and lift out door,.then remove screws on the other side and pry off front panel. Take out the 5/16 screws holding the top down and hing top up and away.
Remove drum support panel, You will now see the side of the drum.
