Question Rear Bearing Assembly Replacement Instructions
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDE36RES0
Age: 5 - 10 years

I just received my Rear Bearing Replacement Kit for my Frigidaire Dryer but it did not come with instructions as I had expected. Can anyone assist me in how to install this kit? When I ordered the kit it was rated as "somewhat difficult" to install and without instructions I would rate it as "extremely difficult". Part number is WCI 5303281153. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You will have to take the drum out of the dryer to put the bearing kit in.

It is not that hard it just take a bit of time.

Can you please verify your model number, as I can't locate it in our database.

There should be clips in the front corners of the dryer between the top and the front panel.

Use a putty knife to release them.

Lift the top and lean it against the wall.

Look inside the front corners and remove the two screws in the corners.

Disconnect the wire to the door switch marking them so you know where to put them.

Lift the drum slightly and remove the front panel.

Disconnect the belt from the idler pulley. Make sure you observe the way the belt is on the pulley.

Remove the drum through the front of the cabinet.

You can now remove the three screws inside the drum that hold the shield and metal part of the bearing.

Remove the two screws that hold the nylon-bearing cup on the back of the dryer.

Lubricate the cup with the high grease that came in the kit.

Reassemble.
