Default Rain water in dryer
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: DBSR453EB3WW
Age: Less than 1 year

This may sound crazy... I never knew this could happen... but the horrible storms we got the other day in Pittsburgh filled my window well with water, the water evidentally got high enough that it went in my dryer vent and into my dryer drum!!!! We were out of town on vacation and came home to find it. The dryer is still working, it gets hot but the clothes don't seem to be drying... I've put the same load of clothes on 3 times now and they are still wet. Any suggestions???

You probably have a wet lint clog in the dryer vent. But the ist thing I would do is pull front panel off the dryer and dry it out with a floor box fan.

I've had a dehumidifier running in front of it for 2 days so everything should be dried out inside of it. But.... it's still not working.

Problem solved... I took off the vent hose... there was still 3 buckets of water sitting in it!!!! It's working fine now that all the water is removed.
