Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi

I have a Maytag today after finisih one cycle my dryer quick working, everything is "working" the lighs are ON and if I turn the time this show the lights and make the sounds like alway, but simple the dryer don't star running i left for around 30 min thinkg about can be a overheathing, but nope..is still in the same!!!

some clues?

Here is a link to a service manual that includes your unit. Not a great manual but at least it goes thru diagnostics

Good chance the thermal fuse in the motor line is blown.
That will kill the motor and since the motor must be up to operating speed for the heater to work, that is also dead.

The most common cause for blowing a thermal fuse is a dirty or malfunctioning vent system. Other fairly common cause are a dirty dryer, plugged solid lint filter and a loose blower wheel.

Replace the thermal Fuse. The part # is 40113801. It is located on the heater housing. Take the front off the dryer, and then lay down on the floor, and look on the back left side, and that is where it is located. I have even seen those wires burn from time to time.
