Default Propane Dryer Doesn't Dry
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FSG748GFS0
Age: 5 - 10 years

It takes three or four times to dry a load of baby socks in my Frigidaire dryer. The heat comes on once, and then it just spins and spins. The heat is supposed to turn on and off to regulate the temperature, but it turns on only once. We have tried replacing High Limit Thermostat and the Flame Sensor, but these parts didn't fix the problem. Does anyone know what else it can be? This is a propane dryer. This is the second time the dryer has broken the same way. The first time we had a technician repair it for $200. This time, we are trying to save money and repair it ourselves, but it has already cost amost $100 without any avail. Thank you for your reply, people!

It is likely the igniter that is weak and is not allowing the valve to open.

If you give the igniter a tap and the burner lights replace the igniter.

Here is a link to your dryer model FSG748GFS0.

It could either be the ignitor, or the coils on the gas valve, if you turn it on and the gas comes out, and it runs for a little while, then it cycles off, then when the ignitor comes back on, and then it shuts off, with no gas, then you definetly need to replace the coils on the gas valve. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
