Exclamation Plz help
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: n/a at this time

My dryer is making an intermittent very loud squeaky noise that sometimes lasts for 3-5 min sounds like a train at times. would the felt have anything to do with the squeak? sounds like it might be from the front the of the unit.... can i use wd 40 on the rollers to see if that might be the problem? also should you have any play in the drum? orshould it be tight ?????

A High temperature lubricant would work better then WD-40.

It is likely the idler pulley.

The drum will have some play back and forth.
