Unhappy PLEASE help me get clips back on motor!
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LEQ9858PW0
Age: 1 - 4 years

Ok, back on track EXCEPT now I can't get the *&%#$ clips on the motor!
I have spent LITERALLY over an hour and torn my hands and fingers up and used every curse word imaginable. Any tricks for getting these clips on? I get one side on and can't stretch the other. HELP, I am about to go over the deep edge. THANKS!

Steph,
I know exactly what you are going through, Make double sure your motor is going into the correct posistion, if its not its not going to clip, connect 1 side and useing a pair of pliers grab the small tab on the end of the clip use a little pressure and it will clip, but I Understand Cuse, scream, fight kick, and be mad, its a pain in the butt!!!!! The real bad part is when you work on something for an hour and someone else come along and do it in a minute!!!!!

When it gets to ya just breath deep grab that clip and give it Heck!!!

Steph, make sure the motor is in the right position. Then put 1 end of the clip on the motor housing, then put a screw driver on the other end of the clip, and push down, and smack the end of the screw driver with your hand and it should go on.

Talking Yippee!

God Bless you all! I DID IT!! My dryer is running better than it ever has! It took a lot of time, patience, sweat, cursing, tears, grime and cut up fingers and hands for this little lady but my dryer is working better than it ever did!

I have to say that, of everything I did (transferring one whole bulkhead to a new piece, replacing the motor, blower, drum seal, belt and pulley) those clips on the motor were the hardest part of all, but hitting the end of a flat screwdriver over and over finally worked.

Now I know why repair people (not just men, mind you!) earn every bit of what they make. Thank you all and happy holidays! I am off to dry some clothes!! Thank you!
