Default Opening door panel
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LEA90AW
Age: More than 10 years

The latch component for my dryer door seems to have fallen down inside the dryer. This is the one on the stationary side of the door-not on the door that swings open. (my husband says it is called the female) I have a new latch but can't figure out how to open the front panel to install it. I read on this site there should be two screws at the bottom of the panel. No screws are visible. Help please.

You should be able to install the female part without removing anything.

It should just push into the front panel.

Here is a link to your dryer model LEA90AW.
