Default Not gettint full heat on dryer
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GEQ9800PW2
Age: 1 - 4 years

The dryer has been working great but have noticed recently it does not dry the clothes as well as it did previously. Seems to me it isn't getting as hot as it should. It does put out heat but not enough to dry things in say one hour. I empty the lint filter after each load and I checked outside and the air is coming through the vent. I thought about taking the lower front panel off and seeing if there is something clogged but haven't been able to figure out how to remove it. Any ideas/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The heating element in your dryer is a signal coil element so if you have heat that would tell me that the element is good.

I would check the vent behind the dryer to make sure that the vent tube is not crushed.

Here is a link to your dryer model GEQ9800PW2.
