Default Noisy maytag
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lde9206ade
Age: 5 - 10 years

my maytag makes a real loud rattling and shaking noise when you first start it, with the noise lasting only about ten seconds then goes away. it also takes a long time to dry the clothes and there is a lot of heat in the dryer. help.

Here is your parts breakdown
Maytag LDE9206ADE

Often if you click on the part number a new page will open with better views and help from others who have used that part

Also here is a service manual which may come in handy
http://www.servicematters.com/maytag...s/16008714.pdf

First place I would check is the blower wheel
Then the idler/tension assy
Then the motor bearings
Also check rear rollers, front glides, the belt and front/rear seals for wear
Order what you need and replace as necessary
Might as well do everything at once
Then give it a good cleaning.
I also recommend you clean/check your vent system

I would try to get to this soon as one day the thermal fuse will blow

You could have a broken blower wheel. That is why the heat is staying in the unit. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
