Default Noisy Dryer
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLER331AS2
Age: 1 - 4 years

Within the last few days my Frigidaire dryer started making a noise, like a humming noise a motor or bearing would make. The drum still turns, the heating element still heats and the dryer still works, but the humming is worrying me. When you first turn the dryer on, there is no sound, but is starts humming after about 8-10 minutes. It will get really loud at times, and at other times it will be a slight noise.

There is a ball and socket in the back supporting the drum. This is a common troublemaker. Also your motor bearings may be running out of oil. Please check and post results.
