I have a Kenmore 80 Series Dryer, mod 110.70812990 Series MK2418586. The Dryer was bought new in 2000. Now the dryer runs but does not heat. I have checked that the gas is on and that the vent is free and clear. I'm not sure what to look for next. I think it may be a thermal fuse or the heating element. What should I look for first and how do I do it. Is there any specs or schematic that I can look at? I do have a meter and check parts are well. I just don't know what to look at 1st.

Most times the the the coils on the gas system need replacing

You could test the thermal fuse on the funnel shaped exaust pipe.
