Default No Heat; electric Dryer
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLEQ942CS0
Age: 5 - 10 years

Our electric dryer is no longer producing heat, and I have done the following troubleshooting to date: Measured 240V at the termainal block, verified continuity accross the heater and safety thermostats, visusally inspected wiring and heating element, and measured resistance of the control thermistor mounted to the blower housing. The only abnormality I have found is that the resistance of the control therm is roughly 7k ohms, and it says 53k ohms on the wiring diagram. Resistance does change with temperature, but does this mismatch of resistances clearly mean the thermistor is bad, or is it possible that the value on the diagram is wrong? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the only suspect item remaining beyond the thermistor would be the control board.

Thanks for your help,
Greg

Just replace the thermister, an ohmeter check on these can be missleading.
