Default No heat in dryer
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LEB107W2
Age: More than 10 years

My dryer has stopped producing heat. It runs, and runs and runs. We lost one leg of our electric the day before it stopped working, and we had to replace the line to the house. I am wondering if maybe we shorted something out. Please let me know what you think.

You have to remove the cover over where the power cord goes in the back of your dryer, and with your volt meter check to see if you have 240 volts, then check the center wire to right wire for120v then center to left wire and see120 v then right to left wire for 240 volts first thing if not snap yoyu dryer breaker in your fuze box several times to see if you do

There is a good chance that it blew the thermal fuse that is located on your heating element housing. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
