Default No heat
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LDE7500ACW
Age: Please select

i have acquired a Maytag LDE7500ACW recently that does not heat up. i have verified that there is 240VAC at the cord and checked for continuity at the heating element, thermal switch and thermal fuse. i have also measured 25 ohms across the heating element which i believe is in the goo range. am i missing anything else? any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the timer contact to see if there is continuity.

Check the motor switch.

Here is a link to your dryer model LDE7500ACW.

Here is some info. It has a DE7500 schematic which should be close to your unit

As you can see your heater also runs through the centrifugal switch
You could remove the wires from the switch, short them to each other and tape them up to prevent shorting to the cabinet. Turn the unit on and see if you have heat.
It goes without saying unplug the unit while working on it.

Do not leave these wires shorted when using the dryer they are part of the safety system.
