Model Number: 110.86921100
Age: More than 10 years

My dryer is a Capri model made by Kenmore. Last spring we replaced the heating element and now the cool down setting on the cotton/sturdy doesn't seem to work. I recently took out some pants and tried to unbutton the pants and the button was melted. Any idea what I should be looking at?

It is likely the operating thermostat located on the blower housing that is faulty.
