Brand: General Electric
Model Number: dhdsr4
Age: 1 - 4 years

Dryer would not turn off, when on timed cycles, ran until was stopped manually, replaced timer but timer knob still sits in set position,any suggestions

On the timed cycle the little timer motor wires are essentuslly in parallel with the motor. You may have miss-wired the new timer, check schematic for reference. Also measure the resistance of the new timer motor, it may be blown out!! In manufacturing they tend not to test anything and some failed stuff gets thru. Sometimes I wish I could charge these suppliers for lost labor!! If no meter, just plug the motor in with a cheater cord.
