Default Neptune, heater stays on!
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDE3000AYW
Age: 5 - 10 years

At first it would not start the drum, but also noticed element was on. Found Thermal Fuse bad. Fixed that and drum now turns but element is on, even if the door is open it is still on. It will go off if I turn timer to off or turn Ininite switch to fluff.
The timer does turn as if it is going thru the motions.
Is it timer, Cycling Th, or Electronic Control bd? What is my next step?
Thank You

I found the prob. The heater element was shorting out (touching) the metal shield. I just bent it back in place. I think the exhaust was blocked and caused enough heat to distort the element.
