sorry, the ink on the model # tag smudged beyond reading as i was trying to smooth it down to read it. i bought the washer/dryer as a pair when neptunes first came out, probably 97/98 if that helps with identifying the model number.
some time ago the drum started squawking when the dryer was started, after a bit, that would stop. now the drum will not turn at all. if i lift up on the drum @ the door, i can turn it by hand, but without that upward pressure it will not turn. i have searched for some insight on exactly what part to order/replace but have been unable to find out for sure. on older/different mfg. dryers i have had in the past, there was a felt ring that needed replaced, but from what i have been able to find, this neptune is different. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a Maytag Neptune Model No. MDE7500AYW it is making the same squaking squeaking noise and notice on examination of the drum on the front is weare spots.... which seems unusual. Also how do you get to the front drum seal slides? Also do you happen to know the best source of repair parts> Thanks...
