Default Need sensor or thermostat for GE dryer?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WSM2700DAWCC
Age: 1 - 4 years

The Automatic Permanent Press cycle in my GE Spacemaker Laundry dryer does dry the clothes, but the control knob does not advance and the dryer will not turn off. The other timed cycles move just fine on th control knob, dry the clothes and the dryer turns off. I had the timer replaced at the suggestion of a repairman, but it still does the same thing. I'm reading about moisture and temperature sensors on this website, so I searched PartSelect's part list and they have a Heater Thermostat, a TStat Cont. as well as a TStat Safety for sale. Anybody have any suggestions as to which I should try?

If you follow the wiring diagram you should find that the control thermostat (tstat) is used for the automatic cycle.

Here is the link to your washer/dryer combo model WSM2700DAWCC.
