Default Is my Frigidaire thermostat bad?
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: More than 10 years

I noticed that my clothes were not drying today. I removed them and mashed the little button that the door mashes. This way I could watch it run with the door open. If I turn the dryer on, the coil will glow for 10 seconds of so, after this I can hear a slight click and the coil stops glowing and does not start back. Is my thermostat bad? Please help!
Thanks Chris

I have thought about running the dryer with the door open and realized that there was no airflow across the coil so it will definately cut off. But at least I know the element works. I am fairly certain I have thermostat problems. I wonder which thermostat usually causes this. There is one that "looks" right at the heater, another small one that is screwed to the back wall, and there is one on the blower output tube. I cant really check them with a meter because I watched it work for a few seconds, so I know that it works for a little while.
