Default My Dryer Won't Heat or Cut off
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dryer will not heat or cut itself off! It just goes for hours and hours and the time won't advance. And the heat wil not come on.. I have noticed lately before this started happening that it takes 2 cycles for clothes to get dry instead of one...i pulled out the dryer and discovered the lint tube thing had come diconnected from the outside vent and so of course all the lint and stuff was all over the wall behind my dryer.. i reconnected the vent tube after cleaning itout with the vacuum... cut on the dryer still no heat or any advancement in time and it won't cut off....any suggestions?

also i checked it on automatic dry and it wont advance so i switched to timed drying and put it on 60 minutes and it does advance on there just no heat still??

also it is an electric dryer

it is a model # LER6620Pq0 thats what it says on the dryer door
it is heavy duty
