Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LER6644DQO
Age: More than 10 years

I dry cloths the day before and it worked fine checked the start knob and it read ok

When you say it does not work, what do you mean re: no power at all?
Have you checked your circuit breaker?
If the interior light worked before, does it work now?
The most common causes are the door switch and the main thermal fuse.
The thermal fuse will cut power to the dryer
