Here is a parts breakdown and wiring diagram
Maytag PYE2200AYW

Would highly recommend you purchase a volt/ohm meter if you do not have one.
You can get a decant digital unit for under $20.00 If it saves you from ordering one unnecessary part you have paid for it. You do not need fancy but it is nice if the leads are a couple feet long.

First to try is turn your breaker on/off slowly a couple times
Is the dryer totally dead?
If you put the dryer into timed dry mode does the timer advance?
As you can see this circuit bypasses the below two parts.
Likely causes are the door switch or the thermal fuse. Next would be the start switch.
If the fuse is blown there is a good chance your vent system is dirty and/or the exterior flap is not opening fully.

Morgan, it is your thermal fuse. If you get a putty knife or a screw driver, and pop the top up, and make sure that you unplug the dryer first, and look in the top, in the back, and you will see the element. On the right side of the element you will see 2 white wires. follow them, and they will take you to the thermal fuse. The kit comes with the thermostat, that is on top of the element. If you need me I can be reached at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
