Thanks kayakcrzy for no longer adding to every post you make "for more help come to my web site". This was the only problem I had, particularly since all that was on your web site were web forms for people to submit personal information to you, and no direct information, of any kind, available.
People come to this site for help, trying to redirect them to another site for further assistance is in very bad taste and complete disrespect toward the operators of this site, the visitors of this site, and the rest of us here who are only here for one single reason, to help other people in the world we don't even know, will never meet, and will likely never get so much as a thank you back from or hear from again. Which is fine with me, as long as I know I've helped people, if I never hear from them again I'll assume they are fixed and happy.
I suppose its hard to imagine this day in age there are people in the world who just enjoy taking the time to help others for absolutely no reason what so ever, people who come here at least do get a chance to witness first hand that there are still a few of us left out there. Don't confuse this random act of kindness as being mislead into thinking I at least am some kind of saint. I'm probably the guy in the work van behind many of you shaking my fist and flipping you off for driving slow in the fast lane ahead of me.
Its all still give and take for both the person with the problem and the tech trying to help. Any tech can fix something while you're setting right in front of it (especially while your being paid to do so). It takes mad skillz to try and help someone else fix something over the internet like this, its a great way to sharpen your own abilities and get some serious game on the problems you face in the real world every day.
I don't even do residential appliance repairs anymore, even though I did for many years and even spent 5 of those years working exclusively as a technical trainer for Sears. I advanced to where the real money is and larger challenges exist, commercial appliance repair. I mis that one on one with the actual residential customer, but the enticement of more pay, less competition, and far greater challenges have been good.
At least I can come somewhere like here still and refresh my residential experience so I don't forget and loose all of it. Reason enough for me to help.
Sorry your post got temp hijacked here isalvus, we'll get you fixed though if we haven't already. |
