Default Maytag Neptune won't heat all the time
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MGD4000BWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

When I turn on my Maytag Neptune gas dryer it starts fine and the flame fires and burns normally until it reaches normal drying temperature. The flame then goes out normally. Problem comes when it cools enough to call for the flame again. The igniter coil glows the normal length of time, but the gas never comes on. Both solenoid coils seem to energize, but one seems to make a sound that is a ticking rapid enough to sound like a grind. I have removed the wires and shorted past both the igniter coil sensor and the flame sensor to recreate normal operation. Shorting past the sensors yields the same operation as when the sensors are attached to their wires.

At this point I am suspecting the gas valve. It has part no. 6 3061760 on its decal. I would like to confirm that you agree that it's a valve before I buy one. I also need some help locating the part, because the model and part number don't come up in your system.
