Default Maytag dryer won't heat
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDE2400ayw
Age: Less than 1 year

I've had this dryer for 3 months, and everything seems to work fine, except that it doesn't heat. Anyone? It was working fine until today.

I bought it at a discount appliance store, does that invalidate the manufacturers' warranty? If the warranty is still good then I don't care what the problem is.

It does not invalidate warranty.

Give them a call
If they give you a hard time call Maytag

You are right, why should you mess with it, it's under warranty!

Let me clarify: I bought it a a huge discount because it was "damaged," meaning in this case cosmetic damage only, but would that also mean it got written off somewhere as a loss?

I would call the store.

I have bought scratch and dent in the past from Sears and always got the warranty info. But then I never had to call for warranty. Unless they purchased it directly from Maytag, Maytag has no way of knowing it has a couple scratches.
Also it should say on your bill of sale if warranty is voided.
